US smoking rate now at 18 percent

I heard the smoking rate in the US (among adult smokers) is 18 as of 2013.

While I believe the rate is low, I don't think its as low as 18 percent.  More like 23-25 percent if I include closet smokers and underage smokers.  While it's true more teens in modern times smoke weed, I still believe more teens smoke cigs in modern times than what antis may think.

Antis claim the high cig prices will convince more teens to never start smoking.  Well last time I checked, it's illegal for a teen to buy cigs.  And since they get their cigs by stealing packs and/or having older siblings/peers buy cigs for them, the teens aint really paying anything for their "expensive" packs.  So the hi prices won't stop a teen from trying cigs.  They wont have to worry about cig prices til they actually start buying packs at 18.  Til then, they gonna do what it takes to get cigs in bad, sneaky ways.  LOL

This smoking rate is much higher, because it covers only a fraction of smokers. When I given to the supermarket, I have to go through a cloud of smoke that comes from many young people before him. I would be a teenager to ask if I bring him cigarettes, I would do it.

I remember early in my smoke. I also started very zesty, at this time I saw cigarette advertising on the road, in the cinema and wanted to buy a teenager cigarettes, so he got without difficulty cigarettes, including me. I bought my first cigarette at a kiosk, a nice older woman saw my cute eyes and my firm decision to try smoking. She gave me my desire cigarettes without asking. She was probably mother and also smoked and could understand me. Also, they must have thought this little girl is excellent smoke and they want to start smoking. Si 12, he gave me my long desire cigarettes, I smoked them and they sold me my other cigarettes I wanted. V├╝rsogliche a woman was there.

So, we are all smokers together, I denie we have a smoking rate of 25-30%.

I wouldnt call 18 percent a high smoking rate. Especially since as much as 30 percent of USA adults smoked during the 1960's. The smoking rate has gone down over the years primarily because of higher cig pack prices and (of course) smoking bans.

Since you cant smoke in places anymore, some people feel that's actually a good incentive to quit.

A minor reason why the smoking rate is down is there might be mo smokers in the closet than one may think. After all, I could see some people "lying" about being nonsmokers when they engage in surveys. If mo people were truthful about being smokers when participating in surveys, the smoking rate might go up to 22 percent.

The REAL truth on the smoking rate is actually a lil higher than 18 percent anyway.
