Hats off to the Canadian women's hockey team....for smoking on the ice!

If a group of chicks are drinking beer and smoking cigars in practically an empty arena, dat ain't the same as em "celebrating in public" to me. Maybe if 20,000 people saw em celebrating in the arena, I could see the celebration being more in public then.

What's the big deal about the chicks' celebration? The playa who drank and she's only 18 years old...last time I checked, underage drinking is common in the USA as well. I hope she had a cigar with her beer. :)

You can't get STDs from putting cigs in your mouth

The funniest lie on smoking I ever heard of was "If you smoke, you can catch a STD,"

With all due respect to antis, the only connection I see between smoking and sex is sucking a cig and sucking a part of your lover's body. Particularly in the upper part of the body. Taking drags on a cig makes good practice for sucking otha good sh!t. LOL

But I'm sure even a smart nonsmoker knows you can't get STD's from putting cigs in your mouth. Smoking and making love go togetha though in a positive way.

Senior Citizen has to decide between smoking and having an apartment to live in

I agree with the person who said nonsmokers and antis don't give a damn about smokers' health (let alone nonsmoking tenants' health).

And my motto is if dey don't give a damn about my health, I'm gonna light up when I want and where I want.

If it was up to me, I'd try searching for a complex dat's still smoker-friendly. But I'd still look for help in my hypothetical case. Kicking someone out for refusing to quit smoking is actually worse than using race as an excuse for ANY topic.

Smoke shop got shut down for selling flavored cigs likely

I heard the smoke shop dat got shut down by the ATF was supposedly selling flavored cigs. Diajrum flavored cigs in particular. And of course, the FDA has control over cigs now. And flavored cigs are banned cept menthols....thank goodness!

I'm sure the FDA played a role in shutting down dat shop as well. Looks like the govt aint playin when it comes to catching shops dat still sell flavored cigs, including clove cigs.

Smoking in Tintin cartoon breaks Turkish law. the channel went to court to fight the fine, and the verdict came in the channel's favor. The court's decision was based on an expert report that pointed out the series was shot before the smoking ban was enacted.

Third Hand Smoke: John Dale Dunn, "No one, ever, has shown that tobacco smoke residue causes cancer. In fact no one has shown that side stream or exhaled tobacco smoke causes cancer. The issue for anti-tobacco crusaders is smell and preferences, and interfering with smokers, not some serious public health issue." Elizabeth Whelan, "In the end, these claims of third-hand smoke dangers will be confirmed for what they really are--nonsense." The Slippery Slope After Tobacco
Big Brother out of control. By Jeff Jacoby. There was a time when Americans were thought capable of deciding for themselves what to do with their coffee grounds or whether to carry groceries home in paper or plastic bags. Nothing in the Constitution authorizes the federal government to take charge of “revamping the way American children eat and play.’’ It is only our passivity that makes such an encroachment possible. This used to be the land of the free. Is it still?

CIg thefts in stores increasing

http://www.roanoke. com/news/ nrv/wb/225411

Cigs are so high, people juz take em indeed. I rememba the days when it used to be easy to steal cig packs. I know at some stores near me, dey don't eitha sell Newports at all. Or the folks got the Newport packs/cartons WELL hidden outta won't even see em behind the counter.

Dere's a good reason why some stores near me will do everythang dey can to hide Newports in particular. Cuz I believe it on thugs "grabbing Newport packs since dey so high in price." hee hee

Cigs are a hot item for robbers. The black cig market has to blossom with stealing cigs from stores and reselling em underground. I know I ain't surprised at cigs being stolen more than booze. I wouldn't mind the idea of "juz grabbing" Newport packs myself. LOL
