The Competitive Enterprise Institute: The tobacco "Master Settlement Agreement" was signed by 46 state attorneys general and major tobacco companies. This video is a dramatization of how the deal was hatched. Watch the video.

TEN YEARS LATER, TOBACCO DEAL GOING UP IN SMOKE. "It just seems weird the idea that the tobacco (settlement) is going to go on forever," Baden said. "In the long run my suspicion is something will take out the settlement. The thing won't last forever."

Newly detected air pollutant mimics damaging effects of cigarette smoke.
