Small benefits of smoking

Maybe one piece of truth nobody wants to hear is smoking PREVENTS ling cancer.

When the adult smoking rate goes down, the lung cancer rate goes up. Maybe those ex-smokers neva would've gotten LC if they neva stopped smoking.

And depending on how you wanna look at it, being s smoker saves you money since lots of nonsmokers would ratha waste their money on beer cases, Js, illegal drugs, and buying too much fast food. Smoking a cig makes a good substitute for snorting coke (which is a he!!uva lot more expensive than a cig pack).

A cig makes a good sub for even eating a bag of potato chips as a snack.

"Small" benefits? How about the fact that since nicotine is a known poison and we smokers undoubtedly have it in our blood, our blood may be antagonistic to bacteria and viruses? Ever thought of that? I am a long-time smoker and in the last 30 years I have not had any bacterial or viral infection! Where is the research on THIS? Cathy

That's a good point. While I had occassional colds since being a smoker for the past 10 years, I neva had the flu before...which is worse than the common cold.

I tend to agree smoking prevents me and mills of otha smokers from catching serious colds/bacterial infections. Of course, you wont hear antis say that. They don't wanna give smoking a good light.
